Description

With this Shinco dehumidifier, you’ll have the opportunity to not only improve your family’s health, but their comfort levels too. This efficient portable unit is Energy Star rated and operates quietly on 2 fan speeds (high/low) in rooms up to 6,000 sq. ft. This unit has an auto-restart program and a smart dehumidifying function that allows the unit to automatically control humidity by factoring in ambient room temperature. The automatic de-icing system ensures the coils are always ice-free while the low temperature feature allows the system to continue to operate at temperatures as low as 41°F (5°C). Cleaning comes with ease due to the removable air filter and direct-drain system. It has four built-in castors that make it easy and convenient to move the unit from one room to another, and runs on environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant, so you can sleep well knowing it isn’t harming the ozone layer.

    I can tell you clearly that this dehumidifier looks smooth and works well! It’s very easy to use. The simplest setup is to plug it in and walk away. It pulls water from the air until it is full, and then stops until you empty it. Slide the drawer back and it will open again immediately. The water drawer is easy to take out. Very sturdy. For those who want it to run continuously, you can use a drain hose to set it up. You can also adjust the humidity in the air. This is a very quiet and attractive unit.

    Was excited to put it in use. Basement was damp and musty smelling. Putting unit on high continuous running, took just 2 days to clear the dampness and smell. I am very satisfied. Tho unit was pricey, it was better priced than many name brands.
    Note, this is a 50 pint which a good size if yours has a lot of moisture to remove.

    I got this after reading the various reviews. I needed it for a large bath (stone floors, so it has an echo effect somewhat) and the rest of the house. Since the bath has two doors and is not used much, I keep both doors open so the dehumidifier gets the air from the other 2 BR’s and kitchen area and master bath. It pulls a good amount of water out – I can leave it overnight easily and it doesn’t shut off but fills up about halfway. Perhaps a better test is looking at a good humidistat. Before I turned it on the room next to it was at 50% humidity. After running it on both low and “turbo” it reduced it by 8% and 10% respectively.
    As for the noise: Anyone should know if you have a compressor and a humidifier there will be noise just like an air conditioner in a window or outside.. I cannot hear anything from 15 feet away but a slight fan noise from the humidifier. It doesn’t get in the way of sleeping or listening to TV, talk on the phone or to other people. I think it is very quiet for a dehumidifier that is as large and powerful as this one.

    This is amazing right out of the box. I had it running in my basement for approximately 7 hours and it was completely filled with water. My previous dehumidifier would run for days and would’ve never have collected that much water. I love how it is very easy to use and self explanatory with every button explaining what it does. This is a must have for anyone with a basement or anyone with higher levels of humidity in the air. It completely eliminates any smell of mildew and makes it easier to breath. I love how it has a hose connection to automatically drain water without the need of manually doing it. It also is on wheels so it’s easy to move around so no need to lift dehumidifier when you need to move it. I love the item and already told friends and family that don’t have a dehumidifier to purchase this dehumidifier. Must have!

    Let me first start off by saying I am very picky when it comes to dehumidifiers. The last one I had lasted for 10 years. This one that I have purchased is amazing. It has a slight hum to it which is very soothing. I love that it comes with a drainage hose and I love the fact that it’s pretty lightweight and easy to move. I highly recommend it. We put it in the center of our house because our home for some reason collects lots of moisture. It is very easy to use and I highly recommend it.
